Working Principle:
- The aux-fuel tank is connected to the main tank air intake.
- Generally when fuel is sucked from the main tank (by the motor fuel pump), air is pulled in.
- However, when with the aux-fuel tank, new fuel is pulled instead of air.
- The aux-fuel tank is vented to let air in.
*We do not recommend using soft bags without luggage racks. An unsupported soft bag will put a large side load on the fuel tank and bracket, especially if the bicycle falls from the left side.

Well, I have fitted it, I don’t think it was the best fit for my model. Firstly I found it very difficult to rotate the shock absorber, I undone the grub screw but the shock was very tight to move. The video of the installation isn’t very good, It misses steps and isn’t very clear. They did send me some additional photos of the forward bracket fitment, showing a spacer. This didn’t work as with the spacer fitted the mounting point where I removed the oil reservoir is hard up against the plastic tank. Without the spacer, the fuel line from the tank rubs up against the sharp alloy edge of the rear foot hanger. I have had to put a piece of rubber in between it. The mounting of the oil reservoir on the right hand side is not ideal either, as with out the plastic surround on it, it exposes its wiring to possible water running down it into the internals. I have wrapped the wiring with tape to hopefully prevent this happening. On the advertisement it says you can fit Loboo or BMW Pannier frames. From the Loboo site I can’t see that they make frames for my bike, and if they do I don’t know where you would get luggage to fit. I don’t think the BMW frames will fit either. This product really needs a set of step by step instructions for each particular model or at least one that highlights the differences. I also believe a better tank could have been designed even if it was half the capacity, that enabled the fitment of most brands of pannier frames. (Maybe the same size as the tool box). Overall, I guess it looks ok and should provide some extra range, but I really wish I had thought about it more before I purchased. I would have gone with fuel bottles so I could still fit pannier frames. I’m going to give it a go for a while and if I’m still not happy I will remove it. I’m on fb, I’m Australia if anyone wants to chat about it.

Haven’t installed it yet. Unlike Loboo luggage they came with no installation instructions. The videos are so so and one suggested strongly that a professional does the installing. I will be able to update you once I try the install. Would love proper instructions.

Tank is well made and fits as described. Unfortunately it will not work with my touratech racks and bags but this is not the fault of manufacturer.
