Easy to install, factory looking fit and convenient. Occupying the unused space underneath the seat cushion, the CG tank keeps the fuel weight low, balances the weight of the exhaust system on the other side and leaves your rear rack free for a duffle bag or top box.
Add extra range to your HONDA NC750/NC700 with the auxiliary gas tank from CGmotoparts. Whether you need more fuel so you can iron-butt it to your next destination, explore a Backcountry Discovery Route, or simply want peace of mind knowing that you’ve got gas to spare, CG can meet your needs!

*All extra fees such as taxes, duties, tariffs, brokerage, etc are not included in the purchase price. Customers are responsible for payment of these fees!*

Feature:

  • Holds 6 liters
  • Fuel is automatically transferred from the auxiliary tank to the main tank
  • Keep fuel weight low and close to the centerline of the bike
  • Free up your rear luggage rack for a top box or duffel bag
  • Including tethered fuel tank cap

Working Principle:

  • The aux-fuel tank is connected to the main tank air intake.
  • Generally when fuel is sucked from the main tank (by the motor fuel pump), air is pulled in.
  • However, when with the aux-fuel tank, new fuel is pulled instead of air.
  • The aux-fuel tank is vented to let air in.

Auxiliary tak fitted to a 2022 NC750X DCT

The aux tank does take 6 L to fill. It is well made. The filler port is large enough to take a petrol pump nozzle. I have a 2022 DCT model NC. The tank fits in the frunk okay. I had to drill two holes in the wall of the frunk towards the bottom right-hand side. I took the right-hand side panel off to make access easier when I was drilling. I used a step drill to do this. For the fuel line I used a 10 mm step drill, and for the vent line, I used a 8 mm step drill. The vent line is a tight fit in the 8 mm hole, but the fuel line is looser. I don’t think I will have problems with water getting into the frunk, but if I do, I’ll fix it with grommets. The tank comes with suitable hoses and clips.
The only installation issue is the fact that you can’t really fix the tank in position in the frunk. It can move around. You could fix it in position with Velcro or foam tape or make a mould using expanding foam and I might do that in the future. However, the tank takes up about 2/3 of the volume of the frunk, but there is still a reasonable space in front of the tank which you can stuff your smalls into, which will fix the tank into position anyway. Apart from drilling the holes it’s an extremely easy installation.
I was planning on making the tank an easily removable accessory using quick release connectors, and I may still do this, but for the time being it’s a semi permanent fixture.
To test it, I filled it, left it overnight. No leaks. I went for a 250 km ride. It does work and fuel transfers from the auxiliary to the main seamlessly. The fuel gauge on the NC registers full for about 230 km, but this will vary obviously with riding style. The aux tank seems to empty almost completely and it took 6 L to fill it again.
For me, I reckon will get approximately 500 km in range from the combined 20.1 L. Very pleased with it. If you want to increase your NC’s range, then this is a decent way of doing it.

Works Great,

This solves all the fueling issues I had with the bike when the back seat is loaded up with gear for motorcycle camping. I wold never run the fuel tank to empty, and this gives me well over 300 miles of range.
Here is a video I posted on the install https://youtu.be/bGLUWnXeStc
