Yamaha Ténéré 700 Raid exposed

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 Raid, a hard-core expedition vehicle like the Honda African twin and KTM790ADV, finally made new progress. After the development test vehicle was exposed, its production version of the appearance patent design was also exposed recently.

The design drawing of the mass production version exposed this time generally retains the appearance of the development version. Compared with the standard version, the main change is the use of a larger main windshield and the addition of a side windshield that extends to the car body. The change in the fuel tank structure makes the vehicle more full, powerful and majestic.

The design of the dual fuel fillers means that the fuel tank volume is larger, extending to the left and right sides into a "saddle" shape, somewhat similar to the KTM design, which also highlights the hardcore nature of the Ténéré 700 Raid. While ensuring super long battery life, it also has the impression of a professional rally car that is simple, capable and narrow.

The power, frame, suspension, and braking system seem to be consistent with the standard version. The same CP2 two-cylinder water-cooled engine as the MT-07 has a maximum power output of 72 horsepower and a maximum torque of 67Nm.

Due to mass production, it is less radical than the development board. For example, the off-road style fenders are missing, the lightweight titanium alloy scorpion exhaust is gone, and the tires do not need to deal with sand and become smoother.

However, the instrument panel of the development version is replaced with a TFT color screen, so it is speculated that the Ténéré 700 Raid version will be greatly upgraded in terms of electronic control assistance.
