New Michelin Road 6 Tire unveiled

In 2022, Michelin has released a new generation of Road 6 tires with several new features designed to improve the wet grip and longevity of the motorcycle. New tires cover sport, off-road, sport and touring, with the introduction of the Road 6 GT tire range for larger, heavier touring motorcycles. The new generation of Road 6 tires is developed on the basis of the Road 5 and brings the following advantages with more than two decades of experience and innovation.

Wet grip is stronger:
The Michelin Road 6 tires have more than 15 percent more grip thanks to a new silica tread compound and a new tread pattern that provides better drainage.
Longer service life:
Road 6 tires have 10 percent longer tread life compared to the previous generation Road 5.

New tread design:
The air gap ratio is optimized to provide better grip in wet and dry conditions without compromising cornering performance, so the rider can get constant and accurate feedback from the tire's reaction. X-Sipe technology combined with Water Evergrip technology ensures consistent tire grip in all conditions. And to maintain grip even with tire wear, new grooves and sipes feature longer edges to easily penetrate water films and maintain road grip when wet.

New tire compound:
Silica Rain technology improves tire grip in cold conditions and wet surfaces, improving continuity and tread life, while the new addition to the Road 6 tire lineup is the first to apply Michelin 2CT+ technology to the front tire, giving riders more Stability when entering corners.
New tire construction:
The tires on the Michelin Road 6 feature Amplified Density Technology, a high-density, high-stiffness design that provides rider feedback and handling, and an aramid tread layer that resists high-speed centrifugal growth, reduces weight and provides stability.
Aesthetic enhancement:
Michelin Premium Touch technology is used in the sidewall design, a characteristic derived from the ultra-high performance tires used in sports motorcycles. On the sidewall, this unique technology uses microscopic geometry to create texture, which in turn allows it to adjust contrast and create shades of grey to accentuate tire markings and provide a more aesthetically pleasing finish.

The Road 6 range includes: 6 front and 8 rear wheel sizes, while the GT tire range is available in 1 front and 3 rear wheel sizes.
Michelin Road 6 Front Wheel: 120/60ZR17(55W), 120/70ZR17(58W)
Michelin Road 6 Rear: 150/70ZR17(69W), 160/60ZR17(69W), 170/60ZR17(58W), 1573R17(57W) ), 190/50ZR17 (73W), 190/55ZR17 (75W)
